swim a mile

this past Wednesday, 6/5/2015, we went to the National Aquatic Center to do a charity swim for a local foundation called, Ian Daly, Swim a Mile With a Smile.

All the money made for the swim a mile go to Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin, and also the Barretstown castle. The Ian Daly charity fund was set up by a family who lost there son at age 11 to a brain tumor the doctors had never seen in a child before.

This little boy, is Ian Daly and he loved swimming so after he died hes family wanted to do something to remember him and to do something in his honor.

When we got to the nac we told that we could do it in groups or by yourself so we mostly did it in groups 8 people did it by themselves. all 8 finished there 64 widths of the pool. Although most people didn't think they would be able to swim that far by themselves a lot of people swim at least 32 widths or over. i didn't think i would swim the 32 but i swim 46 and would of kept going expect we ran out of time.

after we all finish we got t shirts and we got in a photo, we got changed and then went to Blanchardstown for some well needed retail therapy.
